(Various brands) Various - Video tutorial
Model: (Various brands) Various
In this video we learn about some peculiarities that occur on our tires during summer storms: we know that a tire with summer tread, close to the legal limit, which easily "sticks" to the asphalt during dry season, has great difficulties during a heavy downpour, where large puddles of water can easily form in which the phenomenon of "aquaplaning" occurs, when the tire cannot adhere to the surface because it literally floats on the water. This phenomenon is very dangerous because the vehicle, losing grip, no longer responds, goes into understeer. Another effect is that during these summer storms, the temperature of the asphalt drops suddenly, even by over 20 degrees, so the TPMS sensors could signal a puncture alarm. So, if you are driving in summer under a heavy storm, and the vehicle signals a decrease in pressure or a tire puncture, you can be quite reassured that it is actually just the sudden drop in asphalt/tire temperature that is being signaled.
