Removing and Replacing a Car Radio

To improve the audio quality of your vehicle, you can replace the standard radio with a more powerful model. Use a plastic lever to remove the trim of the standard radio, insert the release levers into the side slots and pull the unit from its housing, disconnecting the rear connectors. Remove the old metal trim by lifting all the tabs with a screwdriver. Insert the new trim into the dashboard compartment and fold all the tabs back to secure it properly, connect the rear connectors to the new radio, secure the antenna cable, using an adapter if necessary, and finally lock it into place.
