The indestructible airless tires Michelin Uptis

In this video we can see the airless tires, a Michelin/General Motors patent, called Uptis. It has the characteristic of being practically indestructible, because it cannot be punctured. They are made of composite materials, and Michelin guarantees the same level of comfort as traditional tires, in fact they have a tread on the outside, while inside they have blades that deform, adapting to the various road surfaces, absorbing roughness. They were originally designed for autonomous vehicles, but it was decided to anticipate their use compared to this type of vehicle, also because they are much more durable than traditional tires and eliminate the need for a spare tire. The commercialization is planned for 2024.
