How do you reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Passat?

Inside the Volkswagen Passat, the procedure to reset the Service light involves holding down the SET button located on the right side of the instrument panel while the panel is turned off. While holding down the button, you will need to turn on the instrument panel using the appropriate key; this will display a message asking if you want to reset the Service light. The message must be confirmed with the OK button located on the right side of the steering wheel. This will reset the Service light correctly, and you will need to turn off and on the instrument panel to complete the procedure.
