Today we will discover the instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace the handbrake cable of the Volkswagen Golf. First, we get into the car and start by removing the plastic cover of the central tunnel, accessing the bottom part of the handbrake; then we disconnect the adjusting screw, as shown in the video. At this point, we lift the car and disconnect the handbrake cable from the braking system; then we install the new handbrake cable and check that the rear brake shoes or pads are in good condition, finally adjusting the handbrake cable!
