Today, we will discover the instructions that will allow you to dismantle and replace the handbrake cable of the Volkswagen Golf. First, get inside the vehicle and start by removing the plastic cover of the centre tunnel to access the underside of the handbrake; then disconnect the adjustment screw as shown in the video.

At this point, raise the vehicle and disconnect the handbrake wiring from the braking system; then refit the new handbrake cable and check that the rear shoes or pads are in good condition, finally adjusting the handbrake cable!
