If the cigarette lighter socket in your Volkswagen Caddy van has suddenly stopped working, first check the status of the corresponding fuse, whose position is indicated in this video. As shown, the fuse is located in the box inside the cabin, specifically in the lower left area of the dashboard on the driver's side.

It is labelled F20 and is the fourth in the bottom row when looking at the box from the front. If it is blown, ensure you use a replacement with equivalent specifications and operate with the vehicle turned off.
