How to replace the window lift mechanism in the Volkswagen New Beetle?

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the window regulator mechanism in the Volkswagen New Beetle, a simple operation but requiring good manual skills. First of all, we open the door in which we will work, then we remove the inner panel by unscrewing all the relevant fixing bolts. We then retrieve the window regulator switch, connect it, lower the window until the bolts align with the indicated holes and unscrew the bolts. At this point, we can attach the window to the upper pillar with adhesive tape, unscrew the various bolts of the cover, remove the rivets and extract the mechanism. To reassemble everything, just follow the reverse procedure.
