How do you open the rearview mirrors of the Volkswagen Passat?

In order to automatically open and close the external rearview mirrors of the Volkswagen Passat, you need to insert the ignition key into the corresponding slot: once the ignition is turned on, you can use the ring located in front of the power window switch panel. By turning this ring counterclockwise, you can close the rearview mirrors; conversely, by rotating the ring clockwise, you will notice that the external rearview mirrors of the vehicle will fully open.
