How to Open a Volkswagen Door

Model: Volkswagen Volkswagen Various
Part: Handle

Video tutorial

The lock on a Volkswagen door may become stuck for various reasons, including very cold temperatures. If you cannot open the door, the first solution to try is to spray some WD-40 lubricant inside the lock and wait a few seconds before inserting the key and attempting to open it. Repeat this process three more times before trying again with the key. If the handle is still stuck, it may be necessary to remove the handle or even the door panel to replace the internal opening mechanism.
