How to install the dynamic LED turn signals of the Volkswagen Golf MK8

In this video, we see how to change the turn signal indicators on the mirrors of the Volkswagen Golf MK8, installing dynamic LED ones. We can find the new parts, for example, on AliExpress with the code 1005004400799938 at a price of 17.69 for the pair, with free delivery. For equipment, all we need is a small flathead screwdriver. We remove the cover from the mirror, positioning the mirror glass so that it protrudes outward at the top. In this way, we will see two tabs, one on each side, which when pressed with a flathead screwdriver, will allow us to remove the cover from its housing. Now we need to remove the turn signal: we disconnect the electrical connector and the blind spot indicator plug - be careful not to confuse them when reassembling. We unscrew the two screws holding the indicator and remove the sealing tab at the bottom. Now we can remove it, starting from the side closest to the mirror of the vehicle and then gently removing it from the far side as well. Now we insert the new indicator starting from the opposite side and then secure it. We attach the connectors and before putting the cover back in place, we check that the indicators are working correctly.
