How to Remove the Coolant Reservoir on a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

To remove and install the coolant reservoir on a Volkswagen Golf, follow this procedure: open the car door and pull up the bonnet release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Empty the reservoir of any liquid, using a socket or screwdriver, unscrew the fastening bolts of the reservoir, and disconnect the circulation hoses from the reservoir. Install a new reservoir with the associated hoses and bolts, refill the cooling system with new coolant. Finally, close the front bonnet.
