How to replace the front hood lift pistons? Let's see in this video how to replace the gas spring on the front hood on Volkswagen T Roc. We lift the front hood and put it in safety, with a screwdriver we detach the metal hooks that block the worn piston on both ends (or we unscrew the locking pins). We mount the new piece on the car, put the piston in safety with the metal clips / pins. We proceed in the same way for the disassembly / assembly of the twin piston. Finally we test the previously mounted gas springs.
