To deactivate the traction control of the Volkswagen Golf, you need to turn on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot. Once the panel is turned on, you can navigate to the menu that appears on the screen in the center of the dashboard.

You can select the options "Vehicle", "Exterior", and finally "Brakes". This will bring up a drop-down menu where you can change the setting for "ESC system" to "ESC off". This will activate the warning light on the instrument panel indicating that the system has been deactivated.
