How to remove the steering wheel in a Volkswagen Golf?

In this tutorial we can see how to disassemble the steering wheel in the Volkswagen Golf, a very simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, we open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, in order to avoid accidental activation of the airbag. We start by going inside the cabin, then we rotate the steering wheel by 90 degrees, locate the indicated groove, and, using a screwdriver with a flat tip, unhook the fixing clip. We then repeat the operation on the opposite side, remove the airbag and disconnect the power connector. At this point, all that remains is to unscrew the central bolt with a 12mm XZN key and separate the steering wheel from the steering column.
