This guide provides instructions for removing the steering wheel and its airbag from the Volkswagen Golf, as well as the Jetta. First, get inside the vehicle and begin to turn the steering wheel to expose the rear holes; use a sharp object like a screwdriver to push and extract the airbag, disconnecting the electrical connector as shown in the video. At this point, unscrew the central nut of the steering wheel to remove it, replacing it with a new one if necessary; refit it in the straight position and then secure the new airbag by connecting it!
