How to Remove the Steering Wheel Airbag from a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

Before you can start, sit in the driver's seat of your Volkswagen Golf. Begin by releasing the clips that secure the airbag, located on the back of the steering wheel. Next, unclip and extract the airbag from the steering wheel. This will free the airbag itself. Proceed by disconnecting the relevant electrical connector. Once you have completed this last step, you will have successfully removed the steering wheel airbag from your Volkswagen Golf, and you can then install the new airbag.
