How to remove the airbag steering wheel on Volkswagen Golf 5? This operation is very simple if you follow the various steps. First, disconnect the battery cables (located in the light). Insert a screwdriver or a small spanner (medium length) into the side slots of the steering wheel and unscrew the retaining pins. Once the pins are removed, disconnect the airbag and its power connectors. Use a socket to unscrew the pins on the steering wheel, then pull the steering wheel off the steering column. For reassembling the steering wheel, follow the reverse of the steps mentioned above.
