How do you replace the battery in the key fob for a Volkswagen Tiguan? In this detailed video, see how to do it: take your key fob and press the release button for the metal key. Once the metal key is open, use a screwdriver to pry between the key case and the top plastic cover (the groove where the metal key fits). Pry until the cover opens. Remove the worn battery with a screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Refit the cover on the key fob by pressing on the key case until you hear it click into place. Check that the key fob operates correctly.
