Follow these steps to open the key remote of a Volkswagen Golf 7: take your remote and press the key release button. Once the metal key pops out, use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key. Pry until the cover opens, then remove the worn battery with a small screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Finally, reassemble the cover and check the remote's functionality by pressing the door unlock buttons.
