The following steps will show us the process of disassembling and replacing the automatic transmission knob and boot of the Volkswagen Golf GTI. First, we get into the car and begin to detach and remove the cover and boot from the base; then we detach the small metal clip located between the boot and the knob, as shown in the video. At this point, we pull everything upwards to remove the components, replacing the gear knob with the new one; we insert the boot first and then the knob on the lever, locking everything in place with the appropriate clip!
