How to Remove the Front Door Glass on a VW Bora

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005

To remove the front door glass, start by taking off the door panel. After removing it, you will find an aluminium sub-panel to which the window mechanism is attached. Remove the pins with a 10mm socket that secure the sub-panel, disconnect the power connector from the window motor, and then remove the motor itself. Next, take off the triangular plastic trim on the front of the door and pull out the window seal. Open the rubber plugs on the sub-panel to access the glass retaining clips and loosen them to allow the glass to be extracted along with the complete sub-panel and window mechanism.
