The replacement of the water pump on a Volkswagen Golf 7 follows a procedure similar to that for the replacement of the timing belt, for this reason it is advisable to contact an authorized workshop. The cost, which will also include labor, is 500€. To replace the water pump, it is necessary to open the front hood to locate the pump and then remove the front bumper and the top part of the engine. With greater range of motion, we disconnect the hoses and connectors from the pump and remove it. We insert the new one and after connecting it, we complete the job by mounting the bumper and the top part of the engine.
