Replacing the Water Pump on VW Golf 5

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Pump

Replace the water pump on the Golf 5. Remove some components from inside the engine bay to access the water pump. Lift the front bonnet of the car to access the pump. Remove the coolant reservoir to access the water pump. Take off the covers to reach the water pump. Start by loosening the securing bolts of the water pump with a socket spanner as shown in the video. Once the part is removed from its seat, pull it out from the engine bay. Install the new water pump in the engine bay after cleaning any dirt and debris from the mounting area. Secure all belts and refit all covers. Refit the water reservoir.
