How to remove the timing belt on a Volkswagen T4? Follow these steps: lift the vehicle using a column lift or jack. Once these operations are completed, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the belt cover. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt out of its seat. Use a socket to unscrew the tensioner pulley securing bolt. Fit the new belt (previously removed), the tensioner, and tighten everything with the socket. Finally, fit the rivets with the associated splash guard and refit the wheel with the tyre onto the vehicle.
