How to change the battery of a Volkswagen Golf key?

To change the battery of a Volkswagen Golf key, start by manually extracting the key blade. On the Golf key, you will notice a small button or tab that, when pressed, will allow you to remove the physical key. After doing so, carefully observe the key shell. At the bottom, near where the blade was located, there is a slot. Using a small flathead screwdriver or a similar tool, gently insert it into that slot to separate the two parts of the key. Once opened, you will see the lithium battery inside the shell. Carefully remove the old battery, being careful not to damage the contacts. Replace it with a new battery of the appropriate type, usually a CR2032. Make sure to position it correctly, with the positive side facing upwards. At this point, close the key shell, applying light pressure until you hear a click. Reinsert the key blade and check the proper functioning of the buttons.
