How to solve the problem of the fuel tank door getting stuck on Volkswagen and Audi cars

In this video, we see how to remedy the issue of the fuel tank door getting stuck on Volkswagen and Audi vehicles: we remove the Torx screw located on the left side of the gasket around the door compartment, then we close the nozzle with a cloth to prevent dust or residue from mixing with the fuel. We remove the electric control of the door and open it to see how it works, using the car remote. In practice, the rotating shaft has an O-ring behind it to prevent water from entering the electrical part. This gasket, after a period of time, dries out and blocks the shaft. To solve the problem, the solution is to apply some lubricant (brake oil will work fine) on the shaft, then we move it in and out to lubricate the O-ring. This way, we will solve the problem.
