In this video we can see how to replace the START button on the Volkswagen Golf VII, as well as on the 7.5 version. We remove the mask around the gear shift by levering from the bottom upwards. Here we will find the connector to disconnect before removing the start button, which will come off by pressing from the inside with the finger towards the outside. We will see a small spring pop out, but it's nothing to worry about. To open the connector, you need to use the tip of a not too large screwdriver. We can find the new button for example on Amazon with the code B0CC1KVT1Q at the price of 20.69 euros, free delivery for Prime customers. We put it in its place and connect it with the original cable. We can put the gear shift cover back in place, we're done.
