Today we will see the instructions for disassembling and replacing the timing belt of the Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI; the timing belt, on this type of engine, needs to be replaced around 210,000 kilometers. So, we open the hood of the car and start to disassemble and remove the diesel filter, which we find on the left side of the engine compartment; disconnect the pipes and the electrical connector, then also remove the coolant tank. At this point, we lift the car to remove the crankshaft pulley and the V-belt, then remove the distribution cover, as shown in the video. We then take the necessary references for the replacement of the belt, following the video tutorial until the end!
