Replacement of the water pump and timing belt on the Volkswagen Golf 2.0 GTD.

In this guide we will see the main steps that will allow us to disassemble and replace the water pump and timing belt of the Volkswagen Golf 2.0 GTD. First of all, we open the engine hood and start disassembling and removing the coolant reservoir and the engine support, disconnecting the pipes and unscrewing the fixing screws; we lift the car to remove the right front wheel and the crankshaft pulley, disconnecting the V-belt first, as shown in the video. At this point we remove the distribution cover and unscrew the water pump screws, then also removing the timing belt; finally, we install the new kit!
