The instructions in this guide will show us the procedure for disassembling and replacing the timing belt of the Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI. First, we lift the vehicle and start by removing the front right wheel and the wheel arch, disconnecting the V-belt and removing the crankshaft pulley; then we disconnect the coolant pipe, then remove the coolant tank and the engine support, as shown in the video. At this point, we remove the distribution cover, then proceed with the replacement of the belt; if necessary, we also replace the water pump kit.
