How to replace the serpentine belt on the Volkswagen Golf 6 1.6 tdi

To replace the serpentine belt of the Volkswagen Golf 6 1.6 tdi, we start by lifting the car and removing the front right wheel, disconnecting the battery, unscrewing the torx screws to remove the inner fender; loosen the belt using a wrench from the tensioner and insert a pin to lock the tensioner and remove the serpentine belt; now remove the intercooler pipe, unscrew the 13mm screws of the air conditioner compressor, disconnect the compressor connector and also the third bolt; remove the fixing screw of the intercooler duct and also the second one without removing it, unscrew the upper screw of the intercooler duct, disconnect the sensor connector, remove the intercooler duct, unscrew the tensioner screw and remove it; now take the new tensioner, insert it into its seat, screw the screw back in, reassemble the components removed to remove the tensioner; install the new serpentine belt paying attention to the mounting direction according to the manufacturer's diagram; loosen the tensioner, remove the tensioner locking pin, check that the belt is correctly positioned on the pulleys; reassemble the fender, the wheel and lower the car.
