The following steps will show us how to disassemble and replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Golf 1.9 TDI. First, we open the hood of the car and start disassembling and removing the coolant reservoir and the engine support; we lift the car and remove the right front wheel, also removing the fender liner, as shown in the video. At this point, we disconnect the serpentine belt, then remove the crankshaft pulley; once the timing cover is removed, we can access the belt and install the original one.
