Below are the main instructions for removing and replacing the water pump and timing belt on the Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI. First, open the bonnet of your car and begin by removing the timing cover, raising the vehicle and disconnecting the serpentine belt.

Then, rotate the crankshaft pulley until the timing marks are aligned for the next timing setup, as shown in the video.

At this point, remove the timing belt and unscrew the bolts of the water pump, then replace the entire kit; carefully perform the reassembly.
