- Years 2012-2019 Below we will see the main instructions useful for disassembling and replacing the water pump and timing belt of the Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI. First, we open the engine hood of our car and start removing the distribution cover, lifting the vehicle and disconnecting the V-belt; then we rotate the crankshaft pulley to align the references for the subsequent timing, as shown in the video. At this point, we remove the timing belt and unscrew the water pump screws, replacing the entire kit; we carefully carry out the reassembly.
