How do you reset the Service indicator light of the Volkswagen Passat?

It will be possible to delete the Service light shown on the instrument panel of the Volkswagen Passat by holding down the SET button located to the right of the instrument panel while the panel is turned off. By holding down the button, you will need to activate the instrument panel with the appropriate key; a message will then appear on the display asking if you really want to reset the Service light. The message must be confirmed by pressing the OK button located on the right side of the steering wheel. This will properly delete the Service light, and you will need to turn off and on the instrument panel for confirmation.
