Let's see how to replace the oil filter on a Volkswagen Golf Mk7. Position your car on a column lift and raise it to a comfortable height for disassembly. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the large securing bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located. Remove the ventilation filter kit to access the filter, then extract the worn oil filter and fit a new one. Allow the fluid to drain into a container. Finally, top up with the new fluid and close the bonnet. Ensure to top up the fluid at the end of the maintenance.
