Volkswagen Tiguan, DIY: how to remove the trim of the pillar.

To remove the trim from pillar A on the Volkswagen Tiguan, open the front door and work carefully to avoid damaging the clips. Start by gently detaching the rubber seal of the door along the edge of the pillar to free the profile of the panel. At this point, grasp the trim at the top, near the headliner, and pull inward with decisive but controlled movements until the pressure fittings release. Once the top is free, guide the panel by rotating it and pulling it upward to detach it from the bottom side near the dashboard as well. Before completely removing it, locate the clear plastic safety latch connected to the body: rotate it and pull it out using pliers, then fully separate the trim. During this operation, be cautious of the curtain airbag area behind the pillar. For reassembly, first reinsert the plastic latch into its hole, align the panel in its seat, and press along the edge until all the clips snap into place, then reposition the door seal on the Tiguan.
