Instructions for purchasing a Volkswagen Transporter T5
Model: Volkswagen Transporter
T5, MK 5
- Years 2003-2014
In this video, we are given very important advice if we want to buy a used Volkswagen Transporter T5. In fact, these vehicles, which are very reliable, can have issues regarding the transmission, especially if it is an automatic transmission with a torque converter like the one shown in the video. This type of transmission has an average lifespan of about 220,000 km, so - as the YouTuber advises - it is better to buy a higher-mileage vehicle and pay less for it. This way, we know for sure that we need to make the repair (which costs, according to the workshop and the necessary spare parts, between 1,200 and 2,500 euros), and at least we will have a vehicle that is completely in order, rather than buying a vehicle with 190,000 km, possibly paying more for it, and then soon facing the same problem.
