Removing the Headlight Switch

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

To remove the headlight switch, proceed as follows:
- Ensure the switch is in the off position (lights off);
- Press the knob inwards until it retracts by about a couple of millimetres;
- While holding it in, rotate the knob until the indicator notch is in the middle position between off and on: in this position, you can extract the headlight switch from its housing;
- Then disconnect the connector at the back by pressing the two side tabs.
