In this brief guide, we will see how to unlock the automatic gear lever in case of an emergency for the Volkswagen Touareg. First, let's get inside the vehicle and start by removing the gear shift cover, which will give us access to the bottom of the lever. Below, we will find a small yellow tab, which we will unlock to manually change the mode from P (park) as shown in the video. This way, it is possible to move the stranded vehicle; once the issue is resolved, simply restore the position of the tab on the gear lever!
