Replacing the rear headlight bulbs of the 2016 Volkswagen Golf is a task that can be done independently. To perform the operation, we need to open the trunk and remove the carpet cover on the side of the headlight where we need to replace the bulb. We unscrew the nut that secures the headlight from inside the body, then disconnect the connector and, using a plastic lever, remove the headlight from its housing. We open the light fixture and replace the bulb. We close the light fixture and push the headlight back into its housing to secure it. We reconnect the connector and tighten the locking bolt. Finally, we close the trunk and start the vehicle to test the proper functioning of the bulb; if it does not work, it will be necessary to check the operation of the fuse related to the rear headlight.
