Let's see how to reset the service light on a Volkswagen Caddy: insert the key and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine. Then use the buttons on the steering wheel or the wiper stalk to navigate the dashboard display.

Look for the screen that shows the remaining range ("range" or "autonomy"). When you are on this screen, press and hold the "ok" button for a few seconds. Release the button, and a message like "service reset?" should appear.

Press "ok" again to confirm the reset. Depending on the year, the procedure may vary slightly.

Some versions require pressing the "0.0" button under the speedometer, while others use the buttons on the wiper stalk.
