Today’s steps will guide you through removing and replacing the alternator on a Volkswagen Polo, following the instructions below. First, open the bonnet of the vehicle and start by disconnecting the alternator belt, loosening the tensioner with a socket spanner. Then, unscrew the securing bolts of the alternator located at the bottom left, disconnecting the electrical wiring to remove it, as shown in the video. At this point, carry out the repair or replacement of the alternator, reconnect the wiring, and finally reattach the V-belt.
