How to Remove Alternator from VW Polo 1.2 TDI

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

Let’s see how to remove the alternator from the Volkswagen Polo. Lift the front bonnet, disconnect the battery terminals. Unscrew the alternator bolts using a socket wrench: unscrew all the securing bolts of the alternator located on the sides. Once disassembly is complete, remove the belt from the alternator and then from the engine compartment. Take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, screw in the securing bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Check the correct voltage with a tester by connecting it to the battery. Start the alternator and observe its operation.
