In this video, we will see how to change the serpentine belt on a Volkswagen Polo IV 1.4 petrol: we start by disconnecting the negative pole of the battery and lifting the car from the passenger side: support it with jack stands because we will need to work underneath. Remove the wheel and the right front fender, in order to reach the serpentine belt; with a 16mm wrench, loosen the tensioner and remove the old belt. You can find the Continental belt and tensioner set on motointegrator. It with the code 6PK1613K1 at the price of 55.34 euros + 9.95 euros for shipping. Insert the new belt following the correct path (the writing on the belt must be readable clockwise). Lift the tensioner to loosen the tension, remove the locking pin and release the tensioner to tighten the belt. Check that the belt is correctly aligned on all pulleys, reassemble the fender, reconnect the battery, and put the wheel back in place. Start the engine and check for any abnormal belt noises.
