How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

From the instrument cluster of the Volkswagen Polo, you can clear the Service light by holding down the left button located in the centre of the instrument cluster while it is off. While holding it down, insert the ignition key and turn it to activate the instrument cluster: once activated, release the button and then press the 0.0/SET button next to it. Once this button has been pressed, the Service light will be permanently reset: you can turn the instrument cluster off and on again to verify the reset.
