How to Replace the Key Battery on a Volkswagen Golf

To replace the battery in the remote for the Volkswagen Golf and other similar models, no special technical skills or tools are required. First, press the button that allows you to remove the mechanical key blade, then use it to lever off the remote panel that protects the battery. Similarly, use the key blade to extract the button battery, marked CR2032, which you will then replace with a new one. Finally, reposition the panel and the mechanical key.
