Learn how to set the reverse mirror on a Volkswagen ID.3: turn on the ignition, engage reverse gear, and check if the side mirror automatically lowers. If it doesn’t, enter the vehicle settings menu and activate the "Reverse Mirror Lowering" function. With reverse engaged, manually adjust the passenger side mirror to the desired position, for example, downwards to see the kerb. Once positioned, hold the seat memory button until you hear a beep or see a message on the display. This saves the position. Exit reverse and drive forward for a few metres. Then re-engage reverse. The mirror should automatically lower to the saved position.
