How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Sharan

The Service light displayed on the instrument cluster of the Volkswagen Sharan can be completely cleared by holding down the button located on the right side of the instrument cluster while it is off: continue to hold this button to insert the key into the ignition and then turn it to activate the instrument cluster. At this point, turn the button on the left side to ensure the light disappears completely; then you can release the button and turn off the cluster to finish.
