How do you remove the handbrake button from a Volkswagen Golf 7? Let's look at the disassembly of the part. Position the gear knob vertically, then use a plastic lever to remove the trim around the centre tunnel and the plastics around the air control knobs.

Next, unscrew the securing screws of the cover that conceals the centre tunnel using a screwdriver; then remove the trim with the button (as shown in the video). Finally, install the new handbrake button kit on the centre tunnel as previously disassembled.

Test the correct operation of the button.
