How to open the bonnet of the Golf 4? It's a very simple operation. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the bonnet slightly and pull the release lever to the left. Once the front bonnet is unlocked with the plastic lever, lift it up and secure it. Now that you have opened the engine bay, you can perform your maintenance inside. To close the bonnet, simply push it down and let it drop from a minimal height. Ensure that the front bonnet is properly closed and secured.
